October 2011

Too much needlepoint, too little reading.

I'm able to get a few library books on the Kindle now. I actually do not use my original first gen Kindle any more, but it's still plugged in and Ernest used it for The Time Machine for his English class.

I prefer the iPad. Besides the Kindle app, I've got Adobe OverDrive for more library ebooks. And I've got iBooks too, but I've only bought one book for that app so far.

  1. 3 Willows, Ann Brashares
  2. 1225 Christmas Tree Lane, Debbie Macomber
  3. Anne Frank and Me, Cherie Bennett and Jeff Gottesfield
  4. Carrie, Stephen King
  5. Cocktail Hour Under the Tree of Forgetfulness, Alexandra Fuller
  6. Drama: An Actor's Education, John Lithgow
  7. The Girl in the Garden, Kamala Nair
  8. Hemingway's Boat, Paul Hendrickson
  9. Nightwoods, Charles Frazier
  10. Secret Daughter, Shilpi Somaya Gowda
  11. Stories I Only Tell My Friends, Rob Lowe
  12. Vertical, Rex Pickett

I've only read "Carrie", and his newest one just arrived in the mail (I belong to his book club) and I'm not sure if I'm going to groove on it or not.)

Rick was going to buy me an iPad for Christmas, even though I'm on my 2nd Kindle, but then found out a new one comes out in six months (iPad that is). But THEN, another one will come out, and another. Sigh. Buy it already.

Men.
