- City of Glass, Cassandra Clare. I enjoyed this continuation of the Mortal Instruments series. Shadowhunters unite with Downworlders.
- Fall of Giants, Ken Follett. So much history, wrapped up with some good characters.
- Foreign Bodies, Cynthia Ozick. I didn't really like these characters.
- Life, Keith Richards. Years of drug use did nothing to dull Keef's memory.
- Moonlight Mile, Dennis LeHane. Follow-up to Gone, Baby, Gone.
- An Object of Beauty, Steve Martin. Steve Martin, Renaissance Man.
- Port Mortuary, Patricia Cornwell. Scarpetta in the first person still seems rather distant.
- Traveling With Pomegranates, Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor. Mother and daughter travel and find themselves.
As I am horrible at reviews, I've linked these to their Goodreads pages. I highly recommend Traveling with Pomegranates and An Object of Beauty.

Have you ever read anything by Michael Crichton? I think you might enjoy his books. My favorites are Jurassic Park, The Lost World, State of Fear, Airframe, and Prey.
